Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Esmailzadeh, Director of the Mazandaran Seminary, delivered the remarks during a Ghadir Khumm celebration in Amol. He stated that the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) endured the harshest persecution throughout his prophetic mission but never abandoned the path of guiding the people, demonstrating unparalleled patience and compassion.
"The history of Islam is filled with examples of the Prophet's love and benevolence, even towards his adversaries," the scholar noted. "He was so deeply concerned with the guidance of humanity that God Almighty Himself commanded the Prophet not to burden his soul excessively in this pursuit."
Shifting focus to the legacy of Imam Ali (PBUH), Hojatoleslam Esmailzadeh emphasized that at the peak of his authority and popularity, the Imam never used the position of leadership as a tool for personal acclaim. "Divine satisfaction was his sole criterion," the cleric said, calling this a crucial lesson from the school of Ghadir for all officials and social activists today.
The seminary director firmly rejected reducing Ghadir to a mere historical event. "Alongside its spiritual and ethical dimensions, Ghadir carries a monumental social and political message: the issue of guardianship and the administration of Islamic society," he asserted.
Echoing the words of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, the scholar stated, "The truth of Ghadir is Islam's emphasis on governance, politics, and societal management based on divine values. Ghadir proves that the religion of Islam is not indifferent to the destiny of society and has provided a clear model of governance for the guidance of the Ummah."
He explained that Imam Khomeini, at a time when Western intellectual currents sought to banish religion from the social and political arena, drew inspiration from Ghadir to advance the theory of Islamic government and establish the Islamic Revolution.
Hojatoleslam Esmailzadeh noted that the Islamic Republic has faced relentless conspiracies, sanctions, wars, and sedition since its inception. "However, by relying on the culture of Wilayat and the conscious presence of the people, it has overcome these challenges and become a model for the free nations of the world."
He concluded that the Iranian people's massive turnout in support of the Revolution is a manifestation of loyalty to Ghadir, stressing that the current might of the Islamic Republic is the fruit of a deep bond between the nation and the culture of divine leadership. The cleric called on Muslims to use the occasion of Ghadir to renew their covenant with the ideals of Wilayat and to strengthen unity on the path toward a new Islamic civilization.
